NEWS ARCHIVE:

31ST DECEMBER 2014:

"Well it's New Years Eve and I'll be belting out a few songs at a Family gathering tonight so I'd like to take this opportunity to Wish Everyone A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! ...
This year for me, as for many others, has had it's up's downs and everything in between, but if anyone would say to me 59 seconds of Underground Singing would lead to over 17 million people watching it round the world, countless messages of support, stories & love, radio & TV interviews and ending with a single with Shelter in the new year ...I'd think you were off your head lol ... But there you go, it's all happened and it's starting to sink in ...
My début single 'Connected' (put your hands up) is in the very capable hands of Shelter and I can't wait to share it with you all in the coming weeks.
To all my Family & Friends I love you unconditionally,
To all the venues I sincerely thank you for booking me year after year.
To all the supporters and people who leave the comfort of their homes to come see me perform throughout the year and those of you who have left some of the most memorable messages following the recent events, I only hope you continue to follow me on this new journey xxxx love you, Neil xxxx"

24TH DECEMBER 2014:

We are pleased to reveal the title for the debut single by Neil Francis, written and produced by Shelter is....'Connected (put your hands up).
Scheduled for release mid-January (exact date tbc).
Single artwork to be revealed soon.

"Connected (put your hands up)" is the debut single written & produced by Shelter & intended as an inspirational message of unity & solidarity to lift the human spirit for when hope can feel lost. 'Connected' in essence underpins the notion that we are in fact social creatures & are not so different after all. These same vulnerabilities & triggers can connect & empower us rather than defeat us if we just embrace the ideology of human synergies. This human behaviour was exhibited first-hand when Neil Francis became a connection catalyst on the Kentish Town Tube platform with his impromptu rendition of Erasure's hit classic 'A Little Respect'. The same spontaneously recorded mobile phone video recording has since gone viral globally amassing well in excess of 13 million views & counting."

20TH DECEMBER 2014:

Ministry of Pop are delighted to announce the forthcoming debut single release from Neil Francis. The single has been written, recorded and produced by our very own Mark & DJ Jekyll AKA Shelter.

If Neil Francis is a name unknown to you, all we'll say is A Little Respect, London Tube station, YouTube video. Neil's impromptu rendition of Erasure's A Little Respect on the London Underground, supported by all the other passengers singing along, grabbed the worlds attention as the 'feel good video of the year', sending it viral around the world.

When Neil approached Shelter, the boys were honoured to write a song and support Neil on his incredible journey. Details on the single release to follow....watch this space!

Neil's Christmas Message!

Yo ho ho and seasons greetings to everyone young, old, fat, thin and thick!
What a year... with Chess and a busy summer season it's been work work work!!!
At this time of year when the work load eases off and you have time to reflect on the past year it still gets to me and touches me that many of you still come and support me throughout the year, and I must say I couldn't do it without you.
Next year is looking to be quite a year too, with three nights at The Gorleston Pavillion with a 60 piece choir in March (see Gig Guide) doing some of the greatest west end show tunes. I can't wait.
Summer season dates are confirmed for The Pier Tavern and The Seabreeze, and I dare say more gigs will be added at a later stage when people start filling their diaries for the coming year.

All I can say to the many landlords and publicans who book me year in, year out is a massive Thank You for keeping me in work!
To my dearest friend and webmaster David for running this site a massive Thank You mwah, you're one of the best.
Also a massive thank you to 'You' the person who's reading this at this moment! I hope you and everyone I know, friends, family, aquantances new and old a Fantasic Christmas and Happy New Year!
Now where's that Voddie and coke, ahhh there it is, Cheers everyone xx

NEIL'S BLOG:
Happy New Year!

"Hi all, welcome to the new site that my webmaster and dear friend has been painstakingly putting together for your delictation.

Well, a new year has arrived and as the credit crunch has gripped all by the short and curlies it has reflected on bookings, which are down a little from last year, but never one to give up I'm working on getting some new venues for the coming year and I'll keep you posted as soon as I know more.

Confirmed bookings for 2009 are at the Seabreeze and Eastern Beach, as well as the Duke of Edinburgh, Poachers Pocket, and The White Horse so theres a few there that you'll still be able to catch me at.

Anyhow, all that remains to be said is that I hope all of you who visit this site and who follow me on a regular basis have a fantastic new year!

To my dear friend and webmaster, sincere thanks and appreciation for all the work, time and effort on this fantastic website.

Heartfelt thanks, love and hugs.
Neil Francis xx"

Christmas Message!

"HO HO HO! It's that time of the year when Santa's sacks are usually full but with the credit crunch are half empty and full of Poundland suprises!

It's been a fantastic year and I would like to thank you all for dragging yourselves out the comfort of your homes to watch me sing my tits off night after night! It means a lot and I couldn't do it without you.

All that remains to be said is I hope you all have the merriest of Christmas's and New Year.

If you do happen to see someone looking like Dale Winton on crack, draped in a corner swigging Emva Cream and singin' Dancing Queen, be kind to him, it just might be me!

Loadsa love, hugs and heart-felt gratitude,

Neil, the singin' queen of Yarmouth xx"

EUPHORIA ANNOUNCEMENT

Posted: JANUARY 2008

It is with great regret that we announce Euphoria will no longer perform together on the live circuit for the forseeable future...

Since mid 2007, work commitments outside of the band meant the duo were increasingly unable to gig together, so vocalist Neil began to perform as a solo act.

By late 2007, the growth in regular bookings for Neil, combined with Mark's other work commitments, sadly means both members of Euphoria have decided the time is right to end on a high.

With an incredible 16 years together, through many ups and downs, Mark and Neil continue to be great friends and have the utmost respect and admiration for each other.

Euphoria leave behind a great legacy of a number 1 radio hit in the Ukranian capital 'Kiev', plus many happy moments shared with thousands of audiences across East Anglia and the UK.

''Thanks to each and every one of you for all your wonderful warmth, encouragement and support throughout the years. WE LOVE YOU XX''

Heading into the future sees Neil continuing to entertain audiences with his solo act, the possibility of Mark gigging on his own, and perhaps EVEN the occasional Euphoria reunion!

The newsletter service will continue as usual but under a different name: 'U4IA Upd8s' becomes 'NE!L !NFO' and will obviously focus on Neil Francis news & gigs.
If you wish to unsubscribe then details are included in each & every newsletter.

"THE QUEEN'S CHRISTMAS MESSAGE!!!

Hiya loves,
Once again Christmas is upon us, Santa's sacks are at bursting point and the turkeys have got the flu, but enough of the festive banter...

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me through the last few months with my solo career. It has been quite refreshing to belt out new material and has got my creative juices a-flowing again!

Next year is looking great at the moment with summer gigs already booked!

What remains to be said is that I hope each and everyone has a fantastic Chrismas and Happy and prosperous New Year, and hope to see you all soon.

Loadsa love, hugs and luck
